Meet Mrs. Newby
My name is Gina Newby and I am thrilled to be working with your little ones. This year marks my ninth year teaching. I graduated from CMU in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood. After graduation, I began teaching preschool. I taught First Grade for 5 years in Florida, then Special Education. I am currently pursing a Masters in Special Education from Saginaw Valley University.
I have been married to my husband Brian for eleven years and we have three wonderful sons who all attend St. Lawrence as well. Our oldest Jack (8) is a Third grader, Vincent (6) is in First Grade and Joseph (4) is in Preschool. This summer we all completed our first hike up a Mount Crested Butte while visiting family in Colorado.
When not in school, I enjoy reading, walking, hiking, spending time with family and enjoying time at our family's lake house. You can also find me on a football or soccer field cheering on by boys or at Spartan Stadium. GO GREEN! GO WHITE!
